There's No Place Like Home

Day 46:

This weekend, Carol and I have been apartment hunting. We want to live here...Westover Hills. This place was beautiful. :)

Time flew right out the window

Day 45:

Cranium at Carol's after Friday night. This game is always fun. But it goes for SO long. Hence, time passing, though it was highly entertaining!

Don't let the wall beat you.

Day 44:

Went to a belaying clinic. This is the first time I've been to a rock wall like this. SO intimidating.

The Man and His Piano

Day 43:

Ah...sad that it's a blurry picture, but we had seats all the way in the back. Third to last row. Haha. It was still awesome anyway.

A Thirst

Day 42:

"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7 ESV

"Make new friends, but keep the old..."

Day 41:

Mmmm. Pocky. :) They have all these fancy kinds now like "Mousse" pictured here, which, in my opinion, are much too sweet. I prefer the original chocolate kind. Yum.

I'm Like A Bird

Day 40:

I finally decided to play with motion blur. :)

I spent the afternoon at this beautiful pond/gazebo in a neighborhood in Cary.

The geese and turtles constantly pop up to say hello!

Doesn't this remind you of "Sound of Music"...except during the day? "I am sixteen going on seventeen..." I think this movie is the reason for my love of gazebos.

Then I ended up on the set of Mary Poppins:

Brahms' Requiem

Day 39:

I went to Duke Saturday evening to listen to Brahms' Requiem. It was beautiful, though I admit falling asleep at some times...but only due to sheer exhaustion. I swear! But what I also found amazing was the ceiling when I looked up in the auditorium. The oculus.

Which reminded me of a building we studied in my Art History class:

The Pantheon!! Granted that this isn't...but this building, I believe, was modeled after the Pantheon, like many others have been, such as Thomas Jefferson's building on UVA campus.

Man...the things I learn in Art History, like "oxbow"...saved my butt in Cranium!

All In A Row

Day 38:

Went to Bruegger's with Carol, Erica, Rebecca, and Skylar and liked these pretty, vintage-looking chairs.

I also wanted to share this picture that Isaac looks so happy in. :)

The Value of Friendship

Day 37:
So I couldn't tell what would be the better picture...

Some pretty, colorful beads.

Or these cool cats.

Happy 1st day of spring!!!

Mooooo

Day 35:

It was agricultural awareness week or something at State...and there were cows and pigs and goats and peacocks and tractors out in the brickyard.

Only at State...

Snowshoe Day 3

Day 33:

The wintry weather was so lovely and refreshingly beautiful, adding to the excellency of this weekend.

Saturday, March 17, 2007

Snowshoe Day 2

Day 32:

The Board Room. About 20+ snowboards and boots I'd say.

Friday, March 16, 2007

Snowshoe Day 1

Day 31:

For the first day of Snowshoe, WV Snowboarding Trip, I present to you a selection of tasteful treats at Todd's Barbecue. Please make note of the radioactive green coleslaw and potato salad.

Shoop-shoop-ba-doop

Day 30:

Salt 'n Pepa. Taken at Cheesecake Factory with their very dim, yellow lighting.

Shoop!

Know Nothing Stays The Same

Day 29:

I like this shot because you can't tell really tell how big it is.

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

Covered In Petals

Day 28:

There were these beautiful flowers all over east campus (another reason why it is so much better than central and west). I had to pick them (but only the ones that were on the ground already of course).

Do You Smell That?

Day 27:

Taking pictures of animals is hard! My hand is holding her there but that also meant I couldn't adjust the settings as easily. I like her cute little nose anyway. :)

Atlanta: Day 3

Day 26 (another cheating day):

This is the start of the pool of money...

It then progresses...

to find out what this money was for, check back for a link to youtube. :)

We ended the trip with an afternoon at Georgia Tech where time nor ACC mattered; only good friends and good times.

Atlanta: Day 2

Day 25 (today's a cheating day because my first picture won't be my picture of the day...but there was so much to do in Atlanta that I need to post an overview):

We woke up and played with Bailey.

We went to IKEA to test out some beds. It's like Goldilocks and the 3 bears. And we're the 3 bears.

Ate at Bonehead's. Mmm, delicious and inexpensive fish to prepare us for our next stop...

Georgia State Aquarium!

Followed by rock climbing at Dick's to work off all the fish we ate. ;)

But then it was time to eat some more at Umezono (is that right?). SO delicious!

Atlanta: Day 1

Day 24:

Wolfgang Puck Express in Atlanta! We finally arrived around 11:30/midnight. After stopping 5 times on the way down.

(more pictures to come on Picasa/facebook)

Running Shoes Pt. 2

Day 22:

I ran again this morning! I didn't want to take another picture involving my shoes, but it was insisted that I take a picture of putting them on/taking them off.

So...which one am I doing?

Tuesday, March 6, 2007

Pair of Running Shoes

Day 21:

I went for a run today after an inspirational conversation with Sketchie McSketchster last night. The run was amazing. But I will need to remind myself to constantly stay hydrated. Otherwise...I'd have to resort to eating alcoholic bananas (ick) to appease my throbbing headaches!

By the way, I apologize for the forced setting. It was getting late and I needed a picture. :\

Drive-thru

Day 20:

It was such a beautiful day. I love the feeling of the wind when it forms a ball in your cupped hand. I used to drive around aimlessly in high school, frequently after lacrosse practices. I think one day I almost ended up in NJ! Oops.. But that was back when gas was much, MUCH cheaper. Anyway, this was on the way to Ming's house. I took this while I was driving...but slowly, on a small road. I loved it.

Study Night

Day 19:

Studying at Border's. I actually very much enjoyed this night. I like this atmosphere a lot.

Saturday, March 3, 2007

A Card-Board Day!

Day 18:

He was a skater boi! She said see ya later boi!

We played frisbee at a park...really, we did. Then Eddie found Peter Pan's shadow and tried to spear him.

Then we took a walk with Erica's parents to see the eclipse (which you obviously don't see in this picture).

And I think this last picture pretty much sums up the rest of the night.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow!

Day 17:

Waiting at Aveda. I thought this place was really cool. It was like being in a mirror fun house or something.

Some girl (or boy?) will have this hair!

Parting is such sweet sorrow.

Wardrobe Change

Day 16:

No skeletons in my closet. ...There's just no room.
